FIX #1 Switch from user account to administrator account

Step one

Switch to user account either by restarting the computer, or you can click on the start button or go to the control panel from where you will see the option on the user account, and you can click on it to open.

First, check whether you have any virus software installed on your computer. Verify whether your anti-virus software is also up to date. From Microsoft website, you can download the Microsoft Software Scanner and have it installed into your computer by following the instructions provided. After its installation, create a shortcut for the scanner on your desktop.

Step two

From your desktop click on the short-cut, you created for Microsoft Software Scanner and start the scanning process. Now click on “Scan Type” and then sequentially click on “Full Scan.”

Step three

First, wait for the completion of the scanning process to continue. The process may take a while, but after its done, you can delete the malware or the viruses detected. Finally, restart the computer and try to update windows again.

Step one

Look out for the shared folder on your computer and then right click on it to have a view of  its properties by clicking on “properties.”
